The Impact Dispersing Matrix (IDM) rim construction ensures industry-leading impact resistance and durability, backed by a lifetime warranty.The 309/289 XC features a 30mm internal width front rim and a 28mm internal width rear rim. Wider rims allow for lower pressure, increased traction, and improved steering precision. The rim profile has been reduced to 21mm to enhance compliance and comfort, while still reaping the benefits of a wider rim. The 28mm wide rim on the rear, paired with 28 spokes, strikes the ideal balance of strength, comfort, and performance.To further enhance steering precision and sidewall stiffness, the front rim has been widened to 30mm. The spoke count has been decreased to 24 on the front wheel to add compliance and reduce weight, providing a more nimble feel when navigating tight and twisty sections of the trail.The IDM technology, which stands for Impact Dispersing Matrix, combines high-quality carbon fibers and a unique resin to create exceptional impact resistance.
