Engineered with a specific rim profile that combines a 25mm internal width and our patented ISM4D technology, this wheelset can boost the performance of your bike with a price that's accessible compared to carbon wheel options. The ISM4D process machines the rim in the areas with less stress to reduce weight without compromising strength. The rim also features our Black Shield technology, which protects against scratches and dents so you can charge hard through rock gardens and rough singletrack.
The rims are made with Mavic's patented Fore technology with a fully sealed upper rim bridge that eliminates the need for rim tape. This saves 30 grams per wheel, not to mention the hassles associated with tape when setting up tubeless tires. The Infinity hub is lighter and features a spoke lacing which increases stiffness for better power transfer, and the Instant Drive 360 freewheel with a double ratchet provides fast engagement. The rear hub is compatible with Shimano HG9, Micro Spline and SRAM XD driver bodies. The Crossmax SL S is available with 6-bolt or centre lock brake rotors in 29" only. It's compatible with a 15x110 front axle and 12x148 rear, and comes with valves, replacement spokes and accessories.

ISM Light rim technology
Inter Spoke milling is an exclusive Mavic patented concept. ISM involves the machining of the lower bridge of the rim between each spoke hole to create a light and rigid rim without reducing durability
Fore Carbon tapeless tubeless technology
Stiffer and stronger. A fully sealed upper rim bridge eliminates the need for rim tape. The spokes are directly screwed in the insert. A threaded metallic insert is wrapped inside the carbon layups of the lower rim bridge.
Instant Drive 360 technology
Super light and efficient. The large contactless rubber seal provides low friction, while a wide array of end caps makes it super versatile.
UST Tubeless technology
Traction control. Ready to ride tubeless system. The UST concept improves traction, control and comfort whilst reducing inertia and flats
SUP Welding technology

QRM Auto bearing preload technology
Qualite de Roulements Mavic Auto. Cartridge bearings are double sealed with e3 internal clearance. Preload is automatically adjusted to guarantee a perfect spin with no play on the long run.
