The H Type model provides the most upright riding position of all the models.
Finely-engineered and elegant, the Brompton has a full-sized frame, made mainly of steel for strength and stiffness. It is designed to be practical and light enough to be genuinely portable; actual weight depends on model and configuration, but ranges from 9 – 12½ kg (20 – 28lbs). Brompton weights are true weights; unlike most bike manufacturers, this includes the weight of mudguards, pedals, etc. in our figures – if it’s on the bike, we weigh it.
The combination of a rigid frame and accurate alignment makes for efficient transmission of your energy and a lively, first-rate ride; countless owners use them on long journeys and for touring and many prefer the ride of a Brompton to that of conventional bikes.
We are a Brompton accredited workshop. To gain this level of accreditation our technician has been trained by Brompton, in a number of Brompton specific tasks. Our workshop has the tools to perform the rear hinge replacement task and also has access to the other Brompton specific tools that we have been trained to use. We also hold inventory of all essential spares that Brompton recommend.
